# Items and products

You probably already noticed that in the L-Shop there is such terminology as the **subject** and the **product**. At first, you might think such a fuzzy division, but later you will realize that this is very convenient.

Imagine that you have 2 Vanilla and Hi-Tech servers. You wanted to sell diamonds on both servers. But, as a rule, diamonds on a vanilla server are more valuable resource than high-tech ones. Compliance, for different servers you need to specify a different price. And now, you create an item "Diamond", upload a beautiful picture, specify ID 264. And then, simply, create 2 products: one for Vanilla, and another for Hi-Tech server, of course, indicating to them a different price, or maybe , and quantity. Thus, you have 1 item that you can bind to different products. And it's really convenient! If the system consisted only of products, then you would have to duplicate the diamond data for each server.
